Bring on the Gingham

I love DVF.  There, I've said it.  But seriously, I am having a very hard time resisting all of the things happening over at DVF this spring season!  I picked up this gorgeous Leelou Trim Detail Shift Dress in a great fabric with cute black and white trim, and the most amazing Kyla Ballerina Gingham Wrap Sweater. I'm super happy with both pieces.  Happy shopping!  

Fabric of Choice: Tweed

Can I share a not-so-secret secret?  I love tweed.  All tweed.  In pretty much any and every color combination, this is my most beloved fabric.  It doesn't matter that I have 10 navy blue tweed dresses, this one is TOTALLY different!  This JCrew beauty is stunning in person.  The tweed is navy blue, pink, white and a little touch of silver.  Paired with my navy blue JCrew jackie cardi I was looking professional and out the door in no time!

Calling all Florals

This skirt is quickly becoming my "go-to" black pencil skirt.  I love the front slit that gives it just a little something extra!!  The skirt is from JCrew (wool version for fall/winter), Floral top from Joie. 

Black & Gray & White

There is really something amazing about the very simple color scheme of black, gray and white.  The sheer number of patterns you combine while still looking completely polished is overwhelming.  I paired my new JCrew "A-line skirt in bonded wool" with patterned tights, a sheer JCrew top and gray Ann Taylor cardigan.  Finishing off the look is a Jcrew black and white necklace and a pair of very amazing Manolo Blahnik Plaid BB pumps!  

This skirt is really amazing.  I love the longer length pencil with the slit up the front, it's a fun twist on the classic pencil.
